Where is the event being hosted?

Night to Shine is hosted by hundreds of churches around the world. The local event here in Southeast Texas is hosted from 5:30-9:00pm at Ridgewood Church, 2920 Lake Arthur Dr, Port Arthur, TX.

 

Is it free?

Yes. This is a complementary event to show love to the special-needs community of southeast Texas. However, it is not free to host, so we are accepting donations. Learn more about donations here.

Isn’t the Tim Tebow Foundation paying for the event?

No, each local church is responsible to cover the cost of hosting. Also, if you choose to donate to the Tim Tebow Foundation directly, our event will not receive those funds.

Will Tim Tebow be at the event?

This is the first question everyone asks. Since Night to Shine happens at over 600 locations world-wide, it is doubtful that Mr. Tebow will be at our event. However, he does make surprise appearances at select locations each year.

What is the dress code?

Formal wear. We want the atmosphere to be special for our guests, which means that guests and volunteers will be dressed up. Since formal wear is expensive, we have collected formal dresses that the female guests can come and try on to pick out one – free of charge. The dates will be posted on our Facebook page, so please follow us so you can be notified. We also have special offers for male guests as well. Please see our Facebook page for more information.

Can I donate dresses?

Yes please! Even if it is a late donation, we can use them for future years. Bring them to Ridgewood Church on Sundays from 12:30-1:30pm or Wednesdays 6:00-8:00pm, or donate via our donation tab.

I would like to donate goods/services to this event. How do I go about doing this?

You can email nighttoshinesetx@gmail.com with your name/business, goods or services you are looking to donate, and a phone number to reach you. We will refer your information to the appropriate contact and get back with you.

If I attended in a previous year and already had a background check, do I have to have another one?

Yes. We require a new background check every year for ease of organization and clarity.

What are the volunteer training dates? 

Every volunteer must complete training prior to the event! (Per TTF)
